#CoronaVirus Immigration Update

ESTA and nonimmigrant visa extensions during the coronavirus pandemicAhmad Yakzan from the American Dream®™ Law Office with you to give an update on immigration during the Coronavirus pandemic. It is a difficult time for all of us, so if you are an immigrant, I hope this update helps you with your stress. Here is your Coronavirus immigration update.

American Dream®™ Law Office:

As I mentioned in my post yesterday, we are open and working virtually. I have had several consultations last week and continue to welcome new clients to our family. The only difference is that we are doing everything virtually. I have had one goal since I started this firm, to make the American Dream®™ Law Office is a place where everyone is welcome. I started this firm with technology in mind. Video and phone conferences were with us from the beginning. In this time, they are becoming crucial to our success. So call your local immigration attorney to help you with your American Dream®™.

United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS):

All USCIS offices continue to be closed for in-person interviews. In-person appointments will be scheduled on an emergency basis. All USCIS offices continue processing applications that do not need in-person interviews. All naturalization ceremonies have also been postponed. As per USCIS guidance, all in-person interviews are postponed until April 7, 2020. This might be extended depending on need. We have received several cancellations for our clients.  USCIS will automatically reschedule these interviews once in-person interviews resume.

Executive Office of Immigration Review (Immigration Courts):

The Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR) has established a site for updates on #Coronavirus. Most immigration courts remain open only for detained and filings only. Immigration courts have postponed master calendar hearings through May 1, 2020. All Migrant Worker Protocol master calendar hearings have also been postponed. Please contact your immigration attorney or consult the links above to keep updated. This post should not be construed as legal advice.
