Law360, New York (December 10, 2015, 3:36 PM ET) — A federal judge late Wednesday shot down Texas’ last-minute bid to block Syrian refugees from settling in Houston, reasoning that the state had failed to show how two families posed a real terrorist threat.

U.S. District Judge David C. Godbey’s order came just hours after Texas filed its second attempt to prevent the relocation of individuals from Syria, which was slated for Thursday.
