Law360, Los Angeles (December 17, 2015, 7:05 PM ET) — In the aftermath of the terrorist shootings in California, a bipartisan pair of U.S. senators urged President Barack Obama to require immigration officials to review social media postings as part of the visa application process, saying it would be unreasonable to ignore such information.

Sens. Mark Kirk, R-Ill., and Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., authored a letter sent to Obama’s desk Tuesday, asking the president to immediately adopt regulations that would allow screening officials to include social media activity as part of its background checks of visa applicants….
