Law360, New York (April 25, 2016, 4:45 PM ET) — Benjamin Johnson, the newest executive director of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, pulled no punches in an interview with Law360, knocking the “ridiculous” H-1B visa lottery system and calling the Obama administration’s policies toward Central American families “indefensible.”

Johnson stepped up to become AILA’s fourth-ever executive director in January, replacing Crystal Williams, who retired last summer. Now roughly three months into the job, Johnson shared with Law360 his plans to manage the competing immigration priorities of various AILA members.
