Law360, New York (December 23, 2015, 2:31 PM ET) — A Jamaican citizen who claims he was ordered removed after his hearing notice was sent to the wrong address has made a final bid to convince the U.S. Supreme Court to hear his appeal, insisting the justices need to patch up a split among appeals courts.
Anthony Thompson, who was ordered to be deported “in absentia” after his hearing notice was mailed to an address that he says wasn’t his residence, is challenging the Sixth Circuit’s decision in June not to hear his case.
