Law360, Los Angeles (October 14, 2016, 9:37 PM EDT) — Legal advocacy groups suing Arizona over the state’s practice of denying driver’s licenses to certain immigrants moved for class certification on Friday, saying the alleged discriminatory and unjustified policy violates the constitutional rights of all proposed class members.

On behalf of the immigrants, the National Immigration Law Center and the Mexican American Legal Defense urged U.S. District Judge Steven P. Logan to grant class certification of all non-U.S. citizens who presented employment authorization documents attesting to their status as state residents but were denied driver’s licenses….
