Law360, New York (September 16, 2016, 8:04 PM EDT) — U.S. Rep. Sam Graves, R-Mo., on Thursday introduced legislation that would block funding for the White House’s refugee proposal, announced earlier this week, that would increase the number of refugees accepted into the U.S. from 85,000 to 110,000.

The bill, HR 6044, would deny President Barack Obama the funds needed to implement the plan or any other increase to the refugee cap that would extend into the succeeding presidential administration, according to a press release issued by Graves.
