Law360, New York (July 25, 2016, 8:45 PM ET) — A Chinese woman seeking to immigrate to the U.S. through the EB-5 visa program filed a malpractice suit against her attorney and his Washington, D.C., firm in Maryland federal court Thursday, saying her business partner stole more than $1.3 million from under the attorney’s nose and used it to pay back investors in a Ponzi scheme.
