Law360, New York (October 4, 2016, 9:49 PM EDT) — A charity group that helps professional basketball players transition into the next stage in their lives slapped U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services with a suit in Illinois federal court on Monday, challenging the agency’s rejection of an H-1B petition for a special projects coordinator.

The National Basketball Retired Players Association is requesting that the agency’s rejection of its H-1B petition for a foreign worker be held unlawful, arguing that it was arbitrary and capricious.
