Law360, Washington (October 17, 2016, 5:25 PM EDT) — The American Civil Liberties Union pressed for a quick win Friday in California federal court litigation seeking U.S. Customs and Border Protection documents covering its “roving patrol” operations within the interior United States, arguing the agency hasn’t fully complied with a Freedom of Information Act request.

CBP and its parent agency, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, haven’t conducted the full document search required with all necessary search terms, haven’t adequately documented or justified searches that were conducted and can’t hide behind work-product and other defenses…
