Law360, New York (December 3, 2015, 10:11 PM ET) — The Ninth Circuit on Wednesday issued a published decision dismissing an appeal from an man challenging his sentencing in an illegal reentry case, holding that the waiver of appellate rights contained in his plea agreement was valid.

In a 2-1 decision, the Ninth Circuit panel dismissed an appeal from Jose Medina-Carrasco, a Mexican citizen who received a 55-month prison sentence after pleading guilty to illegal reentry after being deported.
