Law360, New York (December 3, 2015, 10:11 PM ET) — The Ninth Circuit on Wednesday issued a published decision dismissing an appeal from an man challenging his sentencing in an illegal re-entry case, holding that the waiver of appellate rights contained in his plea agreement was valid.

In a 2-1 decision, the Ninth Circuit panel dismissed an appeal from Jose Medina-Carrasco, a Mexican citizen who received a 55-month prison sentence after pleading guilty to illegal re-entry after being deported.
